Fashion Reimagined Celebrated its European Premiere at Sheffield Doc Fest 2022
Fashion Reimagined received its European Premiere at the UK’s leading documentary film festival, Sheffield Doc Fest, on Sunday, 26 June.
Leading up to the premiere screening, Director Becky Hutner took over the Sheffield Doc Festival’s Instagram page. Exploring local charity and vintage shops, Becky gave the festival audience additional insight into the benefits of shopping preloved fashion.
Reasons to shop local & vintage include:
Buying unique pieces at a fraction of the price
Keeping resources in circulation for longer
Keeping clothes out of landfill
Supporting local businesses

After a tour of local vintage shops, Becky was ready for the European Premiere. She was joined by Producer Lindsay Lowe, Mother of Pearl Designer Amy Powney, and Alice Aedy, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Director of Earthrise Studios for the big night. Shout out to Tighe, Amy’s 3-week old who slept in his mother’s arms through the whole screening!
The screening was followed by a Q&A with Alice Aedy in conversation with Amy and Becky. Topics covered included top tips for enjoying fashion more sustainably, exciting developments in sustainability legislation in the US and EU and the dangers of greenwashing.

Over the course of the Sheffield Doc Fest, Fashion Reimagined had two additional screenings to full audiences. It was truly a memorable European Premiere week!
